Die Bushings

Steel vs Titanium Nitride, are the Titanium Nitride worth the extra $$$, any input or reasoning would be helpful
thanks, richard

I'm sure others will disagree, but I prefer the plain steel at approx. $11 each. For the same cost, I can have a greater selection of sizes, using the plain steel, compared to the much more expensive titanium nitride. Of all the bushings I now have, for the various ctgs., there remain a select few that I always use, the others seldom, if ever used.

Buy 2 or 3 steel bushings in the approximate sizes you think you will need. When you settle on a final size, buy titanium and sell or trade the others. I always use a little lube even with titanium bushings.

I used to have bushings made in 22,243,264,and 308. Lots of sizes in .0005 increments. I have only 223 sizes left for sale.

I use the carbide dies in my 338 Lapua so I know the sizes are available through .365. I bought them from Siclair international website.

2009-B Sinclair International Catalog page 39 style 76 bushings, heat treated steel but with the addition of a Titanium Nitride coating available throughout the range of .185 thru .368 in .001 increments. The last three digits of the part #,RD76xxx) denotes bushing size. 800-717-8211

Sinclair could have had carbide bushings in the sizes that I mentioned above at a very reasonable price. They failed to return phone calls and emails.

Butch and others Sinclair is owned by Brownells. If you have a complaint and feel you need to go up the chain of command a call or e-mail to Brownells often gets swift results. The new President of Sinclair name is Bill and he is a real nice guy and has responded several times to my issues. He told me they were going through some growing pains especially with a new computer software. One of the issues I addressed with him was the telephone and no answer.

I use the Redding bushing dies with Ti bushing for .223 Rem.
I use Imperial Sizing wax on the body of the brass. Works great.
Yep, I was put off by cost of TI being 18$ a bushing.

Yes they have a very limited number for 6mm in sizes that are no longer popular. I am one of the few dinosaurs that still use the 262 neck that they work on.
