Bushings

timeout

?'s For those using the Redding titanium nitride neck bushings. Do they work without lubing the neck? If not, is there much difference in sizing pressure over the conventional steel bushings? How about durability/wear compared to the regular bushings? I really like the carbide pistol dies compared to regular dies. I would buy my most commonly used bushings in the Titanium Nitride if there are significant advantages. Thanks.

well I think that they start on the neck a little easier If you invested the money In that type of die I would use the better bushing just my .2 cents

I can tell no difference between them myself.

This is what I expected to hear. I have a TN expander pilot and it is sort of disappointing for the extra money. The carbide pistol dies work so slick that I was hoping :)

I use the hard bushings almost exclusively. I do not lube the necks and have had no case loss. It takes very little effort to size a neck, but I seldom size any more than 0.001 to 0.0015 under the loaded neck diameter. As for case life, I have a batch of 400 .223's that are on their 12th reload with zero case loss, and another 400 6br's with the same number of reloads and no case loss. Both have been annealed only once due to my laziness. Just my $0.02, and probably worth less than that.
