Did you get anything good for Black Friday?

Didn't buy a thing. Everything I was interested in was only 10% off or so and I wouldn't be able to put to use until May anyway. That may change though....

I got a few things from Short Action Customs, they have a pretty good sale going on. I picked up the comparator kit which will replace my old Hornady set and some bushings.

SAC comparators are AWESOME. Huge upgrade from Hornady.

I took advantage of Red Hawk Rifles sale. Bought a couple Trigger Tech’s and saved $118, thought that was decent. Gunfighters Inc had 30% off holsters, took advantage of that also. Was hopeful to find a better deal on Holosun reflex sights but no luck yet. Everything else just seemed to be standard everyday run of the mill sale stuff.

Dang, I’m jealous of some of these. Especially the AMP and MDT chassis.

I looked long and hard at the SAC set. Ended up going with Whidden for the simple bullet comparators, and shoulder bump gauge.

Edit: hopefully I won’t regret that purchase.

Nope, not me. Only thing I did was to disassemble 2 Jewell triggers that were giving me erratic pull weights. I'm kind of disappointed on the quality control I did find inside the triggers. Why would Jewell bead blast the inside of the housing and the small parts it consist off. I polished up all the parts with the finest grit of automotive sandpaper that resisted honing oil and went at it. Changed out 1 spring. Now they are very consistent.

Thanksgiving the son-in-law said trying to find a lefty 7 mag for my grandson was getting frustrating. He asked if I could build one. I said yes but finding a 700 or a Savage lefty could take awhile, quite awhile. After dinner I posted an ad on this site. Three hours later a guy from Texas sold me a lefty 700 mag action with a Timney trigger for a great price. Sent the funds with tracking Friday. As soon as he got the tracking number he shipped the action. He said, “Tell your grandson MERRY CHRISTMAS!” Can’t beat Accurate Shooter and all of the great folks who make it work!!
