Did a little trading local

nastynatesfish

A day which we will live in infamy
Local with a guy off a Facebook gun page.
Traded this berreta nano 9mm 1-7rnd mag with extension

Have a lot of pistols I pic up with bonuses and don't really shoot. Figure I can always sell or trade them off.
Traded for 1944 303 British enfield no4 mk1

Never had one. Looks well built. Tore it down and cleaned it up. Still has a lot of cosmoline in it got two boxes of ammo with it. Picked up 3 more from the local pawn shop. Hope to shoot it this afternoon. Any quirks with them I should know? Any lines on decent bulk ammo to buy?

Lol. He wanted a small carry pistol. That's why hen I find deals I get them if I can. Always used as barter fodder

The enfields has notorious generous headspace. Google it and you will get some pointers

The Canadians that I know that trained with them were very proud of the accuracy and the stopping power of the 303. A lot of moose and bear have fallen in front of one.

Eddie , now that's funny, I almost spit my drink out all over the darn screen.

Bought one a long time ago. Aside from reaching out to the experts on this site (great advice) I would only mention that mine in small letters stamped near the MUZZLE says "7.62"
Later found out it was re barreled by a Canadian arsenal to be some sort of target rifle and is 7.62 x 51. Fancy iron sights.
It's always nice to know what your rifle is chambered for.

I mention it only because it is in VERY SMALL numbers in line with the bore 1/2 inch from the muzzle. There is nothing else on the rifle to indicate this.
The "7.62" is proceeded with a logo (maybe 'C' with an 'A' inside)...however though very small and fine it is all beautifully stamped there, meaning straight and in-line. Puts the stampings on the receiver and bolt to shame.
