Devcon bedded hogue vs Manners mini chassis

I have a 700 SPS tact that I bedded. When I put in the action screws they hand turn all the way down and about 1/4 turn more with the wrench to get to 45 in/lbs. The Manners stock is a friends and I notice there is a little rocking when in the chassis. It takes multiple turns with the wrench to get it seated and then torqued. I doubt the Manners stock is warped. I looked for any debris none.....I could not see any thing the way. Will this gun probably shoot better with the Hogue stock? Am I stressing it but putting it in the Manners? Is this the reason people skim bed an aluminum bedding block. I just bought a Bell & Carlson A5 I will be keeping and have the option of skim bedding, but I have three 700 actions I want to try them all in the A5 chassis before bedding it to fit one.

That is a reason we skim bed al. bedding blocks.

+1 . It is near impossible to have a chassis with an exact fit for all actions. The actions are going to vary too much.

I hate having to re-learn stuff. If I say Timney does that tip some of you off to what was wrong?

The adjustment screw on the Timney trigger was touching the bedding block. I hope I want to keep that set lbs, because now the allen head is all messed up. I bedding the SPS stock with the factory trigger and when installing the Timney I had to remove a little devcon for the set screw, but NO I could not remember to check that....
