Detachable magazine? ?

I need so advise, I have a 260 on Remington short action setting in McMillan a5 stock BDL setup, I want to feed it from detachable magazine.

I have looked at the wytt's setup, it says all u have to do is shim it and bolt it in.

Has anyone used the wytt's setup without problems? or should I look at accuracy international mags with PTG bottom metal? ?

My cartridge oal is 2.89

Or would I be better off to just get stock inletted for what I need??

Thanks T 700

If you want it to feed from a DBM, why are you looking at the Wyatts???????

Buy once ,cry once, get what you want and don`t look back.

Life is too short to be unhappy....;)

I've installed three of the AI/PT&G bottom metal sets on 2 Remmy's and a Stiller. Good stuff!! I could go measure, but I think 2.89 would fit fine.
;)
Ok. I had to go measure. My mag inside is 2.898.:D
Also, I try to wait until they go on sale at Midway but I think The last time I got one, Ptg had the best price.

Just fitted a PT&G on a SA Manners. Took some opening up but very good product. I have accurate mags for it. They fit up to 2.960 cartridges. I'd recommend PT&G for bottom metal. The PT&G M5 is what I have. Didn't care for the PT&G Stealth bottom metal. Wanted a flush fit bottom. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the replys, I might have to bit the bullet and get PTG

I've heard the cdi bottom metal is good too.

Cdi will inlet it for you when you buy from them. That's a simple solution to the I letting question. Everyone I know that has the Cdi says they are gtg

I like my two. No issues, Jeff will hook you up with a quality product.

I had a Wyatt's dbm, smoothest dbm I've ever owned. But mags were a bitch to load, bought the tool for loading, it helped. Also, the 10rd mag about 8" tall, it's not a quasi double stack like others, cases on top of each other like a 1911 mag.
Wyatt's are usually drop in fit, where most others require inletting of some kind. Also, one guy didn't like PT&G stealth, it's not flush, but front part butts up a barricade nice, but there's way better systems for that also.
For your oal, you'd best be served with system that allows you to run accurate mags w/o the binder plate.

CDI,like the fella up top said you can send the whole rifle in if you want so Jeff can make sure it functions perfect.Who else will do that!
