Dem Bills Require Fed License for Gun Ownership

I first voted in a presidential election in 1980, even then I saw what the DFL intended for the future of this country and the bill of rights. The teachers unions across the country have been indoctrinating students for decades in the ways of Marxism,communism and socialism. This "extreme left movement" of the democrats is nothing more than the acceleration of anti american ideas of the latest generation of publicly educated. Funded and encouraged by all who oppose the western civilization. Bill,Hillary,Barack,Joe,Nancy,Bernie, not so famous Walter Mondale, John Kerry. They understood the destination, just had different paths(usually one that allows for making money without being a functioning capitalist). Maybe, just maybe enough free living, God given rights individuals will wake up(not woke) and save the country.

The devils advocate view is whether this President has let other issues become more important to voters than 2A. I know plenty of people who are casting their vote strictly because of how he acts not what he supports.

Unfortunately you are spot on. There was a time when that may have been a chosen way to vote. Today, no way. Politically correct isn't correct today. Politically smart is. I'm better off today than I was when Obama/Biden were in the Whitehouse. That's my chosen way of voting.

Just to take a contrarian view...

1. make the license a “certificate of eligibility”, issued by the Civilian Marksmanship Program. The cost is nominal $10.00 and the certificate is good until revoked and can only be revoked if you become ineligible for firearms, as under current law.

2 All state and local laws are null and void. Every state must have permit less open carry OR permit less concealed carry.

3. This certificate allows purchase, sale and other distributions of firearms to anyone in any state.

any alterations to this law must meet the same requirements as an amendment to the US Constitution.

Fellas my dad will be 90 come November and he stopped by so i could renew his drivers license on computer for him. He has always been a dem. As long as i can remember. He has so many guns his extra bathroom has them in the corners under beds and two safes. I ask him if he was going to vote all dem this election. His answer to me was “well hell yes” And i asked him why and did he know what their plans were for gun owners..
He answered with “ ah they won’t do any of that - it’s all political crap to sway the votes”. I’m going to call him this evening.

This is pretty old. The bill was introduced in the Senate a year ago, never made it out if committee.

True, but if the Dems win both houses and the presidency, they will have the means to push it through. The 60 vote requirement in the Senate would be at the whim of the majority Dem. party and Schumer has already indicated it could go if necessary to get their agenda passed. The radical left in the Dem. party is not going to sit around and wait if there is any way possible of realizing their goals.

Folks, this really spells the end of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Federal license required to own a gun and even to buy ammo. And there would be bureaucratic evaluations of your "suitability" to own guns. Yeah, we all know how that would work out in blue states. Here is the first section of the legislation (two identical bills, one in Senate, one in House of Representatives):

In a word, Tyranny. One party seeks to permanently take away the rights of law-abiding gun owners, while that same party seeks to "defund the police".

I like your confidence in the Court , but it won't have to come to that if we all do as Ned Ludd suggested , and get involved . Really tired of seeing all this whining , bitchin , snivelin , and complaining about this , but never read any post from anyone that they spent the day knocking on doors , or passing out campaign flyers , or making phone calls for their favorite pro-gun politician . I would suspect at least 6 million march on washington and stay there till they either step down or recind the law and make a new law saying that government can no longer make any bills touching the second amendment or any others for that matter. If it passed it would get ugly real fast. How are they going to process 100 million plus gun owners and most likely they will deny everyone which would likely start a civil war as well. Lets pray clearer heads prevail. Ask yourself why the left keeps doing this: Complete and total power over the population leading to a communistic type country.

There comes a time in every nations history that it must vote for someone who isn't polite, who is rather blunt, but also who has the guts to do what must be done and truly has the nations best interest at heart. Being polite and turning the other cheek and letting every other nation step on us and even having it's own sovereignty inside our nation is exactly what has gotten us where we are now.

In 2016 America woke up and said no more to the stupidity that has taken us to where we are now. The "silent majority" finally said enough and elected someone capable of doing that, someone who couldn't be bought like some of our last presidents, those who would like to rule us now and take away the sport we love and the right to protect our family's.

What i have just written very much has everything to do with our love of the freedom to own firearms and to hunt or compete in the very sport we all love. I humbly ask the forum boss that this may continue and stupid comments be removed.
