Defiance Outcast Muzzleloader Tenon Dimensions

Does anyone by chance have any tenon dimensions for the Outcast by chance? All I know so far is that they are 20 TPI. I'm wondering if they might be be along the lines of a Savage large shank or just the typical 1.062" but 20 TPI? I have one coming and curious as to what they are or what others have used.

Im hoping youll share how you put this together, at least with me, id like to see how these modules and the shellholder boltface work and how to fit a barrel

I called Defiance to check on the Outcast and was told the new batch was 15 months out so I went with Mesa Precision Summit

Sounds like the bolt face has a slot like a shell holder. Makes sliding a module easy. I have mine on a regular Predator action. I pull the bolt out and put my module on. All you have to do is figure depth to bore and thread for the nipple. You kinda headspace a tight fit between module and nipple. Jeff Hankins has some videos .

Someone post a picture of whatever this magic is
No magic. Just an action that's only good for a smokeless muzzle loader. I shot mine mine three times this year. Except on my standard boldface I can screw on my 280AI barrel and finish the season. Hard to justify cost of a new action.

Defiance uses a flat boltface with long ish lugs and a fairly short tenon. Mesa uses an extended bolt nose similar to a Remington so a bit longer tenon. Pictures are of a Defiance Outcast. ML specific actions also have the bolt stop moved forward so the bolt stops more forward for easier module changes. The shellholder nose and forward stop just make it a bit easier reloading than a std action. Arrowhead calls for .003” headspace with their plugs and modules. They aren’t that hard to chamber for, just a little different than a centerfire and you’ll need to invest in a couple of taps to tap for the plug.

I’ve built a few with Hankins plugs for myself but decided not to sell any. I’d hate to see what a double charge would look like if a mistake was made by the customer.

Mine will shoot a 275gr Pittman at 3080fps. with 1/2moa accuracy. They are very impressive

A buddy took a small slitting saw and cut his Remington Model 7 bolt face to fit the modules. Works great.
And this is it!
