I couldn't agree more!!! This in no way is directed at the man that decided to cancel the shoot. I have had to make some tough decisions lately as well. This comment is in general based on society's reaction to this situation.

Personally I have a trailer I would have slept in 3 nights and packed food and drink. Combined with paying at the pump for fuel and gloves to handle the nozzle I could have easily made the trip and back with no contact with anyone but the 10 -15 shooters at the match.

This is not that hard.

I hold no ill feeling to the coordinators for cancelling the Match and I understand you guys were following the rules and guidelines that have been put into place because of all the hysteria so please don't think I'm bitching at you. I know you guys wanted to shoot as well.

We'll see how everyone feels about all this in a month if nothing's changed.

Shawn is anything but a sheep, so was not what I meant as well. I guess it boils down to this, you have to be responsible for your own decisions. If I pick up the China virus at home because I wasn't at Missoula shooting, the club is NO MORE LIABLE than if I picked it up there. Joe is probably pretty accurate, I live for this...what's a life worth if you're not LIVING it?

I have know match directors dont have much of a choice and we all understand that. What I am a lot more worried about is not the Corona Virus. It is total economic collapse. I hear it was pretty ruff in 1929. People lost jobs, couldnt find jobs, lost homes, some starved or didnt know when there next meal was coming for them or their family. If this jacka$$ national media doesnt stop the propaganda and instilling fear in everyone. We are headed to a point of no return. There has been 7 different strains Corona viruses since the 1960’s. I dont remember there being the panic, publicity (read that sensationalism by the media) and some were much more deadly than this one. Where is common sense anymore? There has not been any testing for the virus until recently. How would the states have proof it is there if people had not been tested. As more people are tested, the numbers go up.

In one year April 12, 2009 til April 12, 2010. H1N1 affected 60.8 million, hundreds of thousands of hospilizations and over 18,000 dealths! 80% of dealths were under 65, very young were at most risk. Hell, there were 34,000 deaths last year from flu and that was a good year. Year 2018, 60,000 deaths (these in US only). To me the media wants us to think think this is the “Black Death” and going to kill us all by the way they are covering it 24 hours a day and scaring everyone to death. This make no rational sense to me. Lets all quit everything we love to do, shut everthing down, destroy the economy, lose jobs. Yes, that’s the answer!

I agree with most of these. I think Shawn and co. had to cancel the match based on how the media and governor had reacted. Personally I think it's getting out of hand, how far are we willing to go to destroy our economy? How many trillions of dollars are we going to add to the already 20 trillion national debt to fix the problem that the media created?

Yes, I understand this is a very deadly flu to those with respiratory problems. But I'm sorry, why are we willingly going into a recession to save a couple hundred lives, when thousandths die from the common flu every year. How about veteran suicides? Hundreds of thousands of people die every year from illnesses, government doesn't bat an eye.

I 100% believe that this is related to the election year. This is the last chance to get rid of Trump before this fall.

I was looking forward to shooting this weekend, but it actually helps me out by cancelling this match. I did my first load development last week on a new barrel. Now I get to procrastinate a little longer, the snow is melting quick! Maybe I should put my studs back on the Toyota, see if I can get another switch in the weather...
