Dead Zero Tenn 1000yd matches

I stopped by about 3 weeks ago and talked to the lady at the pro shop, she said they were discussing getting one electronic target to put at 50 yards to see how people liked it and of course the wet weather has them behind but they were working on the rifle range. It’s so close for me I hope they get it done fast and matches come! Especially benchrest matches. Troy
Thank you

Guys,
Sorry, I've been away from the board for a while. We have 50 etargets onsite right now. We are installing them through Friday. We will be doing a test at 100yds this Saturday at 12pm. We will have 25 targets set up at 100yds and hope to fill the range up for testing. If you would like to shoot Saturday for our testing, send me a PM here. Feel free to come out and see the facility even if you don't want to shoot. I'll be there by 9am.

Do you intend shooting BR match on an electronic target?
Sdean,
We will make accommodations for bench rest to shoot the standard paper targets. We will either put paper targets on the frames for the etargets or install some sort of stand in front of the etargets. I am looking for feedback from you BR guys on the best option. I have one BR guy advising me, but would welcome input from others.

You pretty much need pits and be able to run the target up and down for 1000 yd match.
It would be interesting to use electronic target for sighters and for record target just above it. Good luck I'll come visit one day for sure.

Sdean,
Well, that would be a problem. We have no plans for the immediate future to install pits.

Pits are not required for IBS BR matches. In fact, most IBS 600/1,000 yard matches are not using pits.
You can place steel gongs or even clay birds for sighters.

Please post directions to the site when you have your first test match at 600 or 1000. I'm looking forward to it.

How did your test match go? Several shooters at AEDC mentioned it.
