De-priming on Harrell Compact Press?

I have been looking into getting a little Harrell's. I am trying to shrink and streamline everything (calibers, presses, powder, etc, etc). I don't have a proper reloading room like most you you guys have. I really like the Harrell's guys and have played with their presses and like them. I would love to have a single do-it-all press but need to keep it simple and clean. I am hand-priming, but de-priming on a single-stage now.

I have looked at getting a hand de-primer (Harvey/etc), but less is more.

Any advice would be appreciated. A used Harrell's Compact (if viable) would be great too!

I use a harrells combo and I decap with a harvey. Works great for benchrest type cartridges but i wouldn't recommend it for anything larger than .308

Another Harvey user with a Harrells or arbor press. There's other deprimers to look at but as a process hand depriming has worked out well.

FWIW, I went through a downsizing a few years back and now do virtually all reloading out of my range kit. It was tough at first not having the dedicated gear/reloading room but the simplifying of everything has actually worked out really well. Turns out, all I mostly did with a bigger space is buy and store more stuff. Good luck on your downsizing project

I use a Frankford Arsenal hand deprimer.. I like it.. It catches ALL my spent primers.. I used to use a Universal Decapping die but this is nice and quick, takes up little space in my range bag. I bought it to use for de-capping my black powder stuff so I could toss my cases in a jug with soapy water while at the range.

Not having a spent primer catcher on my Harrell’s is somewhat of a messy problem, at least that’s what my Wife says. I have a RCBS RS-3 and a couple clamps that I may start taking on the road instead.

FA is not set up to do ppc primers. You will have to home the pin
