“Only government think cutting 1 foot from bottom of blanket and sewing to top of blanket give you longer blanket.”
Its all about simply adjusting the active part of our day into
As I remember, when I was a child during the second world war, daylight savings time was instituted in order to provide more daylight in the evenings.

I don't like the change at all.
bah humbug!

Living 60 miles from the New Brunswick border (on the Eastern end of the eastern time zone), we get the shaft evening light wise compared to the folks in Ohier that have about 1 hour more light at night vs. us. I love the change back to DST.

I would rather get up when its a bit dark and work into the lighted part of our day and have the time after work to do things outside that I couldn't do the day before the change.

Spring forward, Fall back....just great!!

I’ve always called it Govt Mind Control Time. I hate it! I prefer to have the light in the morning. When I was part of the working class, it always sucked trying to go to bed and sleep when it was still light out.

I'm just the opposite. I have no problem sleeping when it's
still light out. I just slip into my Lazy Boy, and it's lights out !!
I also have curtains installed in the bedroom that even a
"Pennsylvania Buck Light" won't penetrate. I got those from
my brother who had 30 years in at GE Transportation (Locos')
Most of those years he was a 3'rd shifter.

I am retired. I just leave mine set to whatever time all year. Tossed my watch on the dresser the day I quit working. Eat when hungry sleep when tired.
And here I thought I was the only one who did that !. Went to a bar the day I retired, ordered a beer, asked the barkeep for a hammer, went outside, laid that $4.00 watch on the sidewalk, and smacked it. It gets better... because it no longer matters the day or what time it is. Wouldn't trade it for my youth either.
