Davidson ring to Picatinny base adapters?

So... haven't found anything jumping out at me, but figured I'd ask in case there is something out there, squirreled away in some obscure corner of the Internet...

Looking to mount a frozen scope (Brackney mount) with Davidson style rings to a Picatinny rail, if possible. I saw this thread, which provides pretty much the opposite solution of what I need; close, but not quite.

Thanks,

Monte

Is the Picatinny rail you want to mount on removable and if so what action and mounting hole spacings does it have?

Yes, it is. Yes, they make a Davidson base to fit that particular action. No, that won't work for this particular use case.

I have a frozen (Brackney) scope in Davidson style rings that I purchased to go on a scope checker base; since literally *everything* else I have uses Picatinny rings/bases, I thought I'd just get an adapter - little did I know it would be such a PITA to find one.

I'm working with @AlloyTargets on this... I have one of his new scope checker bases on pre-order; I ordered a piece of flat bottom Davidson rail from Brownell's and sent it to him. The idea being to replace the outer picatinny rail with the section of Davidson rail, so my gun(s) retain their normal Picatinny bases, and I can still utilize the frozen scope in Brackney/Davidson rings on the scope checker in the outboard position.

I made one for my frozen scope...

Buy the following from brownells:

one of the picatinny interchangeable base kits

One Davidson/kelbly dovetail rail

Machine the dovetail to fit the hole pattern on the picatinny base kit.

That's what I had to do to make it work. It's something like $50-60 in materials and 30-40 minutes of machining in all.

If you happen to want one made, let me know and I'll build it for you.

I had been eyeballing something similar, using two the QD pic bases from Mounts Plus and a section of Davidson rail. It sounds like my scope checker should be here next week, with the Davidson rail in the outboard position so hopefully that will take care of the issue.
