Davidson bases for pic rail??

I have googled and searched but cant find any,,does or did at any time anybody make a Davidson style base that would take the Harrels offset rings that will clamp on top of a Picatinny Rail ??

TIA..

I don't understand your question. I looked at all the rings at Harrels and the all go on a 3/8s dovetail, that is what a Davidson style base is I think is 3/8s dovetail. I don't understand the Picatinny part, if you have a Davidson base and theses rings go on Davidson bases?

right I know all that,,,I would like to be able to take my 40x Leupold off my 6PPC in the Harrels rings and use the scope and rings on another rifle that has a 30 moa taper pic rail,,I need a base that has the Davidson dovetail on top that would mount on a pic rail,,

I guess a Davidson base with a 30 moa taper for a Stiller PredatorV action would work also .

thanx,,as long as the dovetail is the same as the Davidson that is exactly what I need,,
Of course it will be, as close as possible. You should also realize that some dovetails/rings are tighter than others, from mfg to mfg. There's an easy fix.

I incorporated a solution into my scope checkers, just as Charlie Hood did, before me. The checkers have what I call "jack screws", that are there to spread the checker over dovetails that are a tad bigger than others.

The problem is with the rails varying. The checkers slip right on most rails but is very snug on some, making it difficult to put it on rails that are on the big side. The checkers are all exactly identical. This tells you all there is to say.

The same idea can be used, in the rare instances where needed, to by sliding a piece of shim in the slot , then putting the screw in backward and snugging it against the shim. This spreads it over the base.

I've had a pair of these for years. It's just a piece of metal strip banding with a brass handle attached. They've come in handy a lot over the years, for exactly this purpose

Here's pic of how it works. Pic is a little dark but you can see.
