Davidson base on Remington 700

I have the standard 20 moa picatinny rails and rings, (Seeking, Badger Warne). I was hoping to use something a little less tactical on my F/TR build, such as a Davidson two piece 20 moa base and Kelby rings. Anyone running a similar set-up and if you do, are there any problems that I should be aware off. Or are there any other options for me, the scope is a NF NXS 12-42x56.

Been there, and done this. It works fine. Kelbly rings aren't nearly as "tacti-cool" as other stuff. Probably won't take bumps/handling like heavier-duty rings.

For target work, they are just dandy, as is the Davidson base. Thousands of BR shooters consider this stuff to be the de facto standard.

Thumbs up!

If you're like me, "not tactical" also equates to "hopefully not overpriced" then I would take a look at the TPS rings as well.

EGW make a an affordable MOA base, dednutz has them also if you are interested in a one piece mount. I bought a 20moa for my 7mag and my 223AI may never use it but I will have all the upward adjustment on my scopes I would want.
