Dating a 40XB rimfire

Early Custom Shop guns usually did not have barrel date code stamp. I have early 40x center fire and according receiver serial it is from 1962 and chambered in 22-250 which was not a factory round until 1965. This info I got from John Lacy’s book “The Remington 700”. Mine has no barrel date code and is factory original.

When i first read that title i thought maybe you had reassigned your gender and decided you were now a rimfire bench rest rifle. Are there tax credits for that?
