Dasher velocities with 75/87 V-Max

Hi

What velocities are people getting with 75 and 87 V-max,or equivalent bullet weights) from the Dasher?

3500fps with the 75's possible?
3250fps with the 87's possible?

I think I may be a little over optimistic!!!!

These velocities are possible. I have seen just over 3250 with the 87's and reached 3500 with the 75's in the Dasher.

I haven't experimented with different powders, but with Varget, just under 3200fps is about it with moly'd H87 V-Maxes out of a 28" Krieger or a 28.5" Broughton,both chambered for a Dasher with .274" neck). Anyone have a suggestion for propellants more suitable for higher velocity with the lighter bullets in a Dasher?

I got the 88LD up to 3400fps from a 28" 1:8 barrel, after which they start spraying all over the place. The load was kind of warm... okay okay, hot... so don't try this at home kids.

3300fps is where my upper node is and cases still last long enough. The 87 hornadies should be in the same ball-park. 3200-3250 should keep you in the safe zone in terms of pressure and case life.
