Dasher Split Necks (Please Help)

For the guys saying to anneal before fireforming...

Im getting ready to start my dasher adventures. I plan on doing false shoulder fireforming. When are you guys annealing? Before expanding? After expanding but before sizing the shoulder into it? Or after everything but before loading?

I have split a few cases either the false shoulder the hair lined right at the shoulder area.

The first 100 lapua 6BR cases that I fireformed had no cracked necks. The next 200 had 13 cases with crack/splits at the shoulder. I used the false shoulder method and the loads were the same. I kept wondering for days but eventually settled on the theory that the brass got shocked way too much during fire-forming and some of the brass must have had inconsistent neck thickness and that's where it split. Should have thought about annealing brand new brass...

Well, I for one am glad this got sorted out. I read the initial post and I was puzzled. How do you get partial thickness ,tension side cracks this often, with none fully penetrating,using accepted techniques? God may work in mysterious ways, but physics is usually predictable.I was about to suggest trying to polish them out with steel wool when it was resolved.My anxiety was greatly reduced . I did not have to retreat to my "safe place " which my wife calls my reloading room, or resort to healing myself with "essential oils"(for me essential oils are diesel oil, hydraulic oil, motor oil , gear oil,and olive oil).

I have resolved to try and accept that some things happen which are unexplainable by scientific method.I know you want an example.

How long do you have to work in the court room with your senior law partner before your children begin to look just like him? I know that you do trust your eyes you trust the moral rectitude of our leaders ,and especially the media, so you will not need to bother to try and figure the statistical odds of this happening. My wife says that she is putting me back in group therapy.
