Just got a new barrel for my Dasher. Been using the same brass in previous barrels for a while now with no issues. The barrel I got came with 200pcs of once fired hydroformed brass. My problem is that all this brass fits and feeds fine, but not one piece of the nearly 700pcs I already have will extract worth a darn. Just ahead of the extraction groove my old brass measures .271, the newer brass measures .269. I colored a couple of pieces of the old brass and ran it into the chamber and got a solid ring rubbed off in that area. I ran a piece of junk brass all the way into my Whidden die and it still didnt help that area, it did however bump the shoulder .02!
I feel like I know what the problem is, I just dont know how to fix it. A body die seem like a good solution but I'm afraid itll bump my shoulders back to far. Sorry for the long post but figured I'd try and give everything. The barrel was done by PVA as was the barrel that it replaced. Standard no turn neck with a 104 freebore. I'd appreciate any feedback you can provide.
