I hope that edw is a regular poster here! I like his style!
You are absolutly correct here. But you usually are Keith! You can not judge a bullet's performance by one shot. A texas heart shot and frontal facing shot would allow much more bullet expansion. Low broadside shots that only clip 1" -2" of meat are what worry me, you need extremes of expansion on varmint bullets for these kinds of shots.
That's very true. The second one I shot was at 550 yds. Again with a 105Hybrid and it was shot through the shoulder and out the opposite shoulder. The exit hole was maybe three times the bullet diameter. I'm trying the 105 Hunting hybrid the next timeYou can not judge a bullet's performance by one shot. Ya just got to love this caliber. I've shot a 6.5 Creedmoor for awhile (on my second barrel) and I use to think it was accurate until the Dasher came into my life!Keep on trying, EDW! Please keep the pics coming. The failures are just as important as the explosions!
After your picture, I took some grapefruits out to 300 yards and shot 6 of them with a 105 A max with my Dasher. The explosions were so terrific that there was not even a little piece of a grapefruit left!
I am getting pretty good accuracy out of my Dasher and the 105 A max seated about .020 off the lands...can't remember the powder charge.
One thing for certain, you and your rifle are both great shooting!
