i have a question for all but hope to hear from donovan.Had my first 6Dasher barrel chambered in August 2004. Had been using 243-Ackley's prior to it, and was a little skeptical if it would cut it for long range, but kept reading results Richard Schatz was laying down with his, and just had to give one a try. It blew me away how accurate and consistent it was at 1000yds right out of the gate. Still shooting them today, some 15-years later now.
I have read that you may loose 15 fps per inch over 28".i have a question for all but hope to hear from donovan.
building a new dasher foor 600/1000 yd br, and am wondering if there is an advantage to a 30" bbl over a 28 ?
lite gun, so there is the 17 lb limit, but if i can make it, is there an advantage ??
lrb stock, brmxd drop port, 15-55x nf jewel trigger
I've run 28" and 30" in recent years, and I have never seen lower velocities in a 30" v. a 28". RL-16 and RL-15.5 powder in almost all of the barrels. Velocity increases significantly with RL-16 in a 30" v. a 28".I have read that you may loose 15 fps per inch over 28".
