Dasher amd primers

Had a Dasher in a Panda action, no issues at all with primers....Doing a new build on a Rem 700 S/A and was wondering if I needed to get the bolt bushed?? I know on the 6.5L and 6.5CM some did and some didn't. Same with the Dasher? Just seeing if the masses were having problems with Rem actions.

I built a 6BRX on a Remmy short action. Fired primers looked like little volcanos. Got it bushed, no more problems.

Cratered primers will not harm accuracy - though the underlying reason(s) they cratered could. If the load is otherwise safe, cratering will harm nothing UNLESS an occasional cratered primer is also pierced - then you get a nice little divot in your bolt face and perhaps a carboned-up bolt assembly and a little blast of powder residue. The bolt bush does serve as more than an aesthetic enhancer to fired primers but it should not affect accuracy - unless of course pressure was being lost on a lot of your shots due to pierced primers. That is a test I haven't tried!

I would HIGHLY recommend it. I've got the exact issue. CCIs no problems, although they do crater a bit. Federal showed some nice accuracy improvments, but heavy craters with the occasional pierced primmer. Not good. As soon as my Borden is fully built, my Remington bolt goes off to Greg Tannel for a little nip-tuck.
