Last weekend, we had a little daylight only contest for a local FFA chapter. We ended up with 9 coyotes and a second place finish.
On the set pictured above, dad and I set up on opposite sides of a small ridge. Four coyotes came in to the call. I was able to get a head shot on two of them and as they circled the ridge dad dropped one at 60 yards and the other at 370 with his dainty little Beanland 22-250.
I threw in a nice cat from the night before. She’s been a local at our little pasture for a couple of years, but lately developed a taste for quail and let’s just say that exhausted her first 8 lives.
Anyway, 70 years old and still gettin after it!
