CZ miss fire new barrel

My problem is I have a new CZ457 PVT that I have replaced the factory barrel with a IBI barrel And a Timminey trigger and I am getting close too15% miss fires. The rounds that miss fire will not extract if I rack the bolt and round will fire and extract. I have reached out to IBI but was wondering if any one has had similar problems and have a way to correct the issue. Had no problems with the factory barrel.

A trouble shooting tip - when something is changed and a problem occurs check the last thing changed.
In this case you had no problem with the factory barrel - you changed the barrel and the problem starting occuring. Reinstall the original barrel and see if the problem still occurs.

Reinstalled original barrel and no problems other than it shoots larger groups.

Send the barrel back. Headspace it not correct. Or toss it in a lathe and shave a thou off at a time until the problem goes away. Still, new barrel, not working...

I think a call to the aftermarket barrel manufacturer is in order, there is definitely somthing wrong with it. If you work on it yourself that will likely void any warranty they may offer.

Waiting on a reply from barrel manufacturer.

When you say it mis-fires, please explain what it's doing, light primer strike? If your head space is too much the firing pin might not be squishing the rim enough, and that would account for more light primer strikes. Might need less headspace.

Have you heard back from the barrel maker?

FK
Yes they have asked a few questions and they were answered . the last recommendation was to replace the firing pin .They said they would replace the barrel but were worried that I would have the same problem . they thought receiver might be off speck.

Why does the other barrel work then? I'm not seeing the logic.

I was at the range with a friend that had the same problem with his CZ-457 after replacing the factory trigger with a Timney trigger.Long story short, the rifle was misfiring because the firing pin assembly was dragging on the trigger sear. This was verified by shimming between the receiver and trigger which slightly lowered the position of the sear. Timmney verified this was a problem with CZ . The CZ trigger was reworked for a 1 pound pull and the Timmney was returned. Has not misfired since.

Do not think it is the trigger put factory back on and have shot 100 rounds with no misfire
