mark,
I noticed a couple of your recent posts. Looks like you are wanting a sporter style, small action rifle in 20VTG. My advise would be to consider a CZ527 Varmint with fiberglass stock either by HS Precision (older model) or by Bell&Carlson (newer model guns). CZ had both companies producing this stock at different times. They are all but identical in shape and dimension. These are fiberglass stocks with a palm swell and 2" wide forearm (not a benchrest style forearm), and completely different than the factory black synthetic polymer stock. If you can't find a rifle with the stock already together then you can always buy new stock from either manufacturer
The pros of using the CZ is it is a mini-mauser action that comes with a drop box magazine and an exceptional trigger that can be set in a single stage mode with a 1lb pull. These are upgrades on a Rem 7/700 and will cost you extra $300 on top of cost of rifle. I own several and they are perfect walking guns.
The trigger is only single stage, no matter how you adjust it, though, and you can have a 1 to 1-1-2 lb. pull, AND a 6-8oz. set pull.
