I need some opinions. I recently came into a CZ Lux in 222. Its a pretty nice little rifle but the previous owner has removed the front and rear sights and threaded the barrel for a suppressor. Now it has a thread protector on it that's twice the size of the barrel and looks so out of place on the little skinny barrel. I looked for a set of sights, which are as scarce as hens teeth, and found nothing and when they threaded the barrel the did away with the front screw hole. So I'm thinking about trying to cut the thread protector down to fit the barrel better or just cutting the barrel back and re-crown the barrel. I don't use/own a suppressor and to me this is just ugly. I know its cosmetic but it sure takes away from the looks of the little rifle. Anyone have a better idea?
