I've been eyeballing this particular model. The grip area is unlike anything I personally have shot. I have rather large hands and was curious what those who have shot them think about the stock and grip area in particular.

Much like an Anschutz single shot rifle grip.. Fat ugly and extremely comfortable. I really like the ergonomics .. but I shoot better with the Pro Varmint stock....

The grip is comfortable but I did need to put a cheek riser on the stock. I got a leather Bradley riser so there was no need to drill into the nice wood.

With that stock like F Class vertical stocks you don't want to choke it like a chicken. You don't even use your thumb. Keep your thumb on the same side of the stock as your hand or gently rest the thumb on the top but never reach around.

I love mine and would not want to put this action in a chassis. I am also old school wood.

I have big mitts as well. Big hands, big feet and they are at the end of long arms and legs.
The stock, IMO, is not the most aesthetically pleasing but fits me well.
