CZ 20 VARTARG PROJECT CHAMBERING QUESTION

Mark M.

Considering my first 20 Vartarg build, CZ 527 24" Pac-Nor super match 11 twist and wanted to get advice from the experienced guys here on how this should be chambered, freebore, neck dimensions ect, Most likely using lapua brass, thanks

What Sherm said. ;) Best to get some brass, load up a couple of dummy rounds, get your own measurements "then", go from there. Had issues with Remington .221 Fireball brass. Fired and re formed to 20 VT, neck size all over the place. Newly formed to VT was pretty consistent.
Can't see Lapua or Nosler brass being any more of a problem than Remington. .234 neck reamer took care of the issues. ZERO freebore will let you shoot just about any bullet. Start off with the lightest bullet you can find and go heavier as the throat wears. Being a smaller caliber, freebore probably won't be changing much any time soon.
