Custom scope mount

I was asked if I'd be willing to make a set of steel weaver mounts for a Ruger No. 3. After contemplating for a bit, I provided a rough sketch for a quarter rib mount instead. It's not quite traditional but I think it looks better than the 2 piece bases.

I've got some minor refinements in mind for the next one, and I'm working on a version for the No. 1 also.

I had about 6hrs into it. I can probably cut that in half now that I've got the ops all figured out.

I'm working on a No. 1 version as well. I've got a few models in the shop now to pull measurements from. I'll offer with and without the overhang. Also looking at alternatives to the pic rail sections.

A side note, the pic rails were drafted full length, so spacing end to end is in spec.

I made a couple No.1 ribs for rifles I re-barreled. The green rifle is a 6.8 Western, the blued is a 300 H&H.
