Custom scope mount PT II.

Here is a mount I made for a Winchester Model 71 that I'm converting to a 450 AK IMP takedown.

I wasn't sure how well the island style base would look but I like it. It uses Talley style dovetails. I modified a Trijicon RMR dovetail mount for a red dot option, a long with the scout scope setup. The base sits low enough to not interfere with the iron sights also. The bolt has the factory peep sight that the owner wanted to retain.

I'll post more photos of the rifle later. It's been a pretty involved project.

Beautiful!
I have done just enough of that sort of work to know that it is very difficult to get it looking that good.
So this thing will have a peep, a red dot, and a scope? Next level backup.
I think he just wants options. He's got plans of using it in AK and Africa, a long with the lower 48 for elk.

Beautiful work as always, Paul!!

Can't wait to see the whole rifle!
Thanks! I'll be happy when this one is finished.

Wow....beautiful craftsmanship. :) -Al
