Custom bullets

IYHO, what weight deviation is acceptable in custom bullets??

The only custom bullets that I have ever used are Randy Robinett's.... You are wasting you time sorting them by weight. You are wasting you time sorting them period. They are the best out there..

There are only 2 pieces that make up a bullet, the core and the jacket. Cores if made properly should not vary more than .1 ounce. If using Berger jackets they shouldn't vary in weight. Custom bullets prepared with the components I listed should not vary more than a tenth. Even if they varied 5 tenths you would never notice it on a target.
True story. A good shooter I knew was letting another guy load some of his ammo during practice. The shooter somewhat of a psycho insisted everything be as perfect as possible commented to his friend he weighed bullet before his Shoots. My friend a great shooter himself played on his buddy's fears and loaded 5 different BR bullets that varied in weight from 60 to 70 grains same seating depth. He gave the ammo to his buddy to shoot. The good shooter shot a nice round hole in the target. Coming back he commented on how well his bullets shot. My friend broke it easy telling his buddy the story of the 5 different bullets. The shooter cursed him but learned a lesson that day.
Moral of the story shoot the bullets as they come out the box and don't look back.
