Custom 7mm-08 Build Finished

It is funny the first thing I noticed was the sling, then started reading saw Eric noticed it too LOL. Other than that it looks awesome, I love the little 7/08 I have 4 of them and can't find anything bad to say about them. If it were me I would not send it back to the smith,....yet. Some of my better shooting factory rifles have wayyyyy to much freebore. Shoot it and see how it does, looks like you did the whole build right, I bet it will shoot fine the way it is and especially the distances your planning on.
Wayne.

I put together a heap of savage parts and it turned out to be a 7-08.Unfortunately it has a slow twist and doesn't like anything over 130 grains. However it shoots outstanding.I put it in a boyds feather weight stock which is pillar bedded and it looks sweet.I wish I could post a pic or two.The parts all came from a high polish gun.Has the accu spew trigger for now.It shoots right around a 1/2 moa and I have fallen in love with the 7-08. To the OP I cocur with Bozo, try it before you take it back, make sure to mark all your targets to show the smith if it doesn't shoot but I think it will regardless of the throat.

Well, finally got everything ready to go. I've got some work up loads put together and am heading to the range this Friday. Got some 120 NBT's on top of H414 and some 140 Sierra Prohunters on top of H414.

I will post a range report when I get back.
