2A has nothing to do with hunting , so they can try.... Their plan is to simply let so many bad things happen the people will give up their rights on their own.... They know they can't simply take away the 2A with out a war....
Just like the Patriot act removed the 4A basically in the name of safety and everyone agreed at that time not knowing what they were giving up or the fact that it will never be removed even if every terrorist in the world is removed which they know will absolutely never happen.... It's been 20 years , do you feel any safer..?
Once you go down these roads , they are one way.... Once any right is removed there's no going back...

Our Elected officials in Washington were so eager to look patriotic in the days after 9/11/01 that they didn't even bother to read the so called Patriot Act before they voted for it! It hadn't even been printed, let alone distributed for review. NOBODY in Washington was aware of the details of the Act they'd just voted into law, or how many special interest provisions were added in the wee hours of the morning.
They simply voted our Constitutional Guarantees right into the trash heap, and then stood around slapping themselves on the back for the cameras. Anyone else remember that pivotal period in our Nation's dark history?
As I recall, the House and the Senate was under Republican control, and W. Bush was POTUS.

Just three Republicans voted against the act, the rest of the dissenters were Dems concerned about erosion of civil liberties.
I'll have to review my VCR tapes of those days, if I want to be really depressed and if I can get my VCR to work....LOL

My congressman at the time, Dr. Ron Paul, voted against it and was very prophetic about the ugly future it would bring.....

This is exactly what I meen.... Just the other day Pelosi said.... We will have to hurry and pass the bill so we can read it and find out what's in it.... HUH.? Or they get a bill and say we read it yesterday and agree , yet there's 5000 pages... Must be speed readers...lol
Ok I may have over stepped with everybody.... But enough did to pass it without telling everybody what was in it or the long term effects of it... And let's just say not alot of people were opposing it at the time , maybe because they had no idea what it exactly was.... And if you did , you were some conspiracy nut or you weren't supporting America... We got played on that one because they knew nobody before 9/11 would have gone for that but knowing when to play your cards is part of the game...
The Patriot act has such a good American title, only traitors would vote it down.
