Creedmoor & 108 Scenars

Ok guys, I've got a friend with a Rugar American predator (22" barrel) who wants to shoot 108's. what is a good powder to start with? I'm leaning towards 414,380 or vn150. All help appreciated

The problem is the balance between a case with 50+ grains of capacity and the lighter (est) bullet for that caliber (6.5). I have tried the lighter bullets and find no joy in shooting them as opposed to shooting the heavier bullets, especially in short barrels. But diversity is what makes the world go 'round.

Of the 3 powders you select, the VVN-150 is nearly perfect. I've been finding some better results from the VVN-150 for a couple of other cartridges as well so now I keep it on hand for testing. The other 2 not so much.

I would try the heavier scenars and RL17. I don't have a Creedmoor but the 123s & 139s combo shoots lights out in my 6.5x47L. Never had any luck with the light bullets.
