Never made me hunting on field edge,was playing with old deer fur,sent a 17 hornet 20 grain V-max directly in the ear,drt young male.Was actually out for gh's late afternoon after work,no gh's only this.

My preferred shot(200 yards and in) in the winter, stalking bedded coyote during the day. Nosler 55 gr BT out of my 22-250, or 29 gr WCD out of my 17 rem stay inside the skull every time. No sewing.

I hear you but on this I had a clean pass through ,scenarios change frequently, and 200 yards and in is a hole in one ,in the 7 states I've killed coyotes 200 yards is entirely doable, sure some coyotes will be out of range but there's always next time.

Fantastic ,but no suffering,and a great shot. Deer stands produce many a yote in my area.

Yes, they do. That particular stand produced three more for me over the next three weeks and one for another hunter a couple weeks after that.

For the 6mm-PPC use N133 and a bullet weighing in the neighborhood of 65 grains. I like Bergers if I want to shoot out the iris in the eye at 200 yards~!

Just saw my first coyote in 50 years. In the middle of the city. Almost hit it with the car. It was big and healthy looking.

And my .221 Remington Fireball says “hold my beer”. Got this one through the ear at a lasered 247 yards, moving at a trot. Figured a body shot at that range might let it slip into the dense woods a few yards away, so it was all or nothing. Cooper M38 Phoenix, 40 gr. Nosler BT.

This one stopped to take a sh*t at about 225yds. Put an 85gr Sierra Spt thru his shoulder blades. Bang, flop. Quarter sized exit. Thats a good coyote, good and dead.

My luckiest shot was a crossing shot on a coyote. Full out, 300 yds, First shot from my Sako .17 Remington put him into cartwheels. When I got to him, I found one drop of blood in his left ear.
