Folks with the Coyote Gods in years past, advocated for the 17 rem pushing 25 to 30 grain projectiles from 4100 fps down to 3600 fps respectfully. This was with pelt preservation in mind. 400 yard shots were not out of the question.I’m thinking about a 55gr BT screaming around 3700 or so…
70gr speer TNT around 3000
Or a 87gr vmax around 2850
Anyone have input on performance with those? (Or others) I’m looking for hard hitting but minimal exits… I should note that most of my shots are 80-200
My 22" 6mmDTI shoots the 55gr BTs @ 3550 fps and takes coyotes with authority. Usually no exit.I’m thinking about a 55gr BT screaming around 3700 or so…

Try some Superformance in your creed with the 70's and hornady brass. Is that not screaming hot loads ? I can’t get near that with a 22x47 or 22 creedmoor
