Couple deer from the year and the dasher

Congrats on the nice harvests! I wish my wife would enjoy hunting with me as it appears yours does with you... very fortunate!

Nice!!! Wish we had some like that here. Too bad your wife has bragging rights on you this year though ;)

Yea she can brag, but she knows who goes out scouting all year long. It's wonderful having a family that hunts for the meat we all love so well. Are kids got to go as well . 3&9 years old
We don't have many big bucks like this around . So this was A very good year for us. The deer with the small extra point was 196 gross. Don't know if the wifes will beat it or not yet. Hers is the big typical 4 . And I shot the last one pictured . Had a monster non typical found , but he was the wiser one this year.

Norma brass load -
31.8 g Varget 105 hunt Vld Cci 450 .012 jam

Great looking deer. Congratulations. To you and the wife. You have obviously done the work when it comes to patterning these animals. What state are you shooting them in?

Been getting question on this setup so I'll put some more specs up
Dan Dowling is my smith
5R krieger 24" Sendero contour
Reamer from bullets.com. Didn't throat it any different . 105s fit above the neck shoulder junction
Xlr Carbon chassis
6mm Norma Dasher brass
Atlas Tac action Stoned the extractor down a little for the thick necks

Redding type s fl bushing and micro seater from 6mmarturbo.com (they lengthened the seater die for these long necked Norma cases and stock them) . the sizer fits my chamber perfect. No more rounding the shoulder , cases stretching , or clicks from the case web . Just a good fit.

Norma brass , just the way it comes
105 Berger hunting vld
31.8g Varget Pretty much max for mine.
30.8g for my 105 A maxes
Cci 450

Magpul aics 308 mags. Feed real good. And don't mar my brass
If you want perfect cut about 1/2" off the back of the follower and glue in a spacer. Then use a 1/16" dermal and cut new groves for the follower spring. It will go forward some with very little work. You'll know where it goes when you start modifying it. All this puts a little more tension on the front of the case , and makes it feed flawless
Thanks for looking K Redden
