Coriolis and Ballistics-Flat Earthers Beware!

Wouldn’t the value change from shooting N to shooting East! What’s the math for NE?
What’s the velocity change between shooting E vs W?
The velocity change from east to west or west to east is known as the dildolios effect. It’s loosely based the speed of rotation of the earth.

The earth has a circumference of roughly 25,000 miles. Makes one revolution every 24 hours, so rotates at roughly 1030 mph or 1500 fps. These are important numbers for calculating ideal velocity needed for travel of not only bullets, but every thing else facing true east.

Have you ever had one of those days where you feel like you run around all day and never get anything done?

Chances are you, were facing true east.

Days where you seem like you just can’t get anywhere, like backwards on a treadmill?
Facing True west

Most squib loads and kabooms are also due to the dildolios effect. When shooting true west, bullets under 1500 fps, never leave the barrel because the earth spins faster than the bullet is flying. The opposite is true of kabooms, the speed of the earth rotating shoves the bullet back down the barrel and the pressure has to go somewhere.

Interesting enough you only have to be off true east or west for this effect to be neutralized and why most people never experience this. Even a slight up or down tip of the barrel can negate the dildolios effect.

I first discovered this long ignored shooting variable after using my rifle to lever the. Truck out of a mud hole. The barrel was bent to the exact arc of the earth. Bullets shot west needed to be over 1550 fps, just to clear the muzzle. Sadly testing the theory shooting to the east, I over charged a load trying to prevent a squib, and it was too much pressure for the rifle.

Further testing will have to wait until the next time I get the truck stuck.

Much of the early work on the dildios effect was pioneered by Mel Blanc. He documented on film many times the kabooms associated with shooting east.

Hope that helps.

If indeed the Earth is flat, why haven’t we colonized the other side of the “Coin”?!?
Because there is no gravity. The force that holds us down is from the the earth constantly accelerating. If you could get to other side you would fall off. This, of course, being subject to further experiments.

The other question is why aren't people and everything being forced towards the edge due to centrifugal force?
