Antarctica keeps people from swimming off the edge. Don't confuse g-force with acceleration in curves.
Just check the checkbox in your favorite program and let it apply the correction.
But you have to take the time to apply the direction you are shooting which means you must manually input it or turn your phone to the direction of the shot
Cool. For reference a quick look at a 130 VLD starting at 2900fps at 1K yards has a correction of ~3” for coriolis. I cannot call wind across big western canyons even remotely close to that. Lost in the noise. If you have the time by all means go for it.I'm doing this anyways because of the wind's influence on elevation.
Like thisEvery time someone mentions flat earth I ask them to explain how the coriolis effect works on a flat earth. I have yet to have anyone answer me.
I've never heard of the term "Eotvos Effect". I wonder who uses it? Maybe a Physics term? The Wikipedia page says that it is due to centrifugal force. I'll dig into it. Thanks for the hint.FYI - "The practical impact of the "Coriolis effect" is mostly caused by the horizontal acceleration component produced by horizontal motion. There are other components of the Coriolis effect. Westward-traveling objects are deflected downwards, while eastward-traveling objects are deflected upwards.[43] This is known as the Eötvös effect. This aspect of the Coriolis effect is greatest near the equator."
Flat earthers don't believe the earth spins.
True flat earthers are "special"Flat earthers don't believe the earth spins.
Mad Mike was a special kind of guy! Flat Earther and human lawn dart!True flat earthers are "special"![]()
it could be pointed out (intended) that benchrest shooters strive to shoot small under constant conditions while snipers want to shoot accurately under somewhat unknown conditions....I'm afraid that top 1K benchrest shooters that are capable of shooting really small are not really polluting their brains with Coriolis effect on the other hand sniper wannabees definitely are
Thank God! Could you imagine how boring it would be without us?You got nerds in every crowd.![]()
I will let you know if that helps me after my eyes quit spinning around in my head.
THINK it inThe art of ballistics is to know what science can or cannot be ignored and still get the shot on target. I've always heard that Coriolis was critical but honestly it really isn't for most rifle fire. It's like "overstabilization" and "bullet jump". Sometimes they are important and sometimes they are not.
If you are just doing trial and error to get on target a then a lot of these topics really don't apply.
