Cooper 22BR

I've just about decided to order a 22BR from Cooper Firearms to match my 6BR by the same mfg. Anyone out there who has a Cooper 22BR and would like to share experiences, I'd sure like to hear from them.

One of my concerns is "brass forming". Is it really that simple to just run a 6BR case up a full sizer 22BR die? Does it matter if you use Lapua or Norma brass?

I'm leaning toward an 8 twist for the longer/heavier bullets.

Ready to listen to pros/cons and appreciate your help.
Thanks

I have a Model 22 in 22 BR and have enjoyed it. Am thinking of having it rebarreled to 6 BR or 6 PPC. The 22 BR is a great cartridge, mine has 1:14.5 twist and really sings with Hornady 53-gr. MHP and Berger 55-gr. After 1,000 rounds, the lands have moved up a bit but the barrel is fine and still shoots 1/2 MOA and better off a bipod. I like it better than .22-250.

I had to turn necks after resizing down from 6 BR. The unturned necks were running .014 to .016; other than that is a simple deal of running 6 BR cases into a 22 BR die.

Enjoy!
