Cooper 222 Twist Rate

Good Evening Folks,

I thought perhaps I might find a Cooper owner or two out there who could give me an answer to this question:

What is the barrel twist rate for a Cooper M21 Classic .222 Rem.?

Thanks for the come-back. I tried e-mailing Rob Behr at Cooper about this about a week ago but haven't got a response. My experience over the past few months re: e-mailing Cooper has been very good. In fact, we corresponded once or twice weekly for about a month regarding re-barreling by Cooper to 6PPC for groundhog match shooting. However, when I informed Rob that I'd found another rifle to use and I didn't want to re-barrel my Cooper, he hasn't responded to my e-mail since.

I have a 223 and it is 1-14. Not sure if that helps
but I think they are the same.

Thanks for the info. I believe you are correct that the .222 is a 14-twist, just as the .223 is. I had someone on another forum tell me the same thing...

I know Rob and he is a great guy. I suspect he is just busy or doesn't check e-mail very often anymore. I seriousely doubt that your decision to go with another rifle is the reason you are not hearing from him. I would give me a call. He is always super helpful.

I must apologize for my choice of words in that post. Unfortunately, the sour mood I was in the night I posted that reply leaked into my typing fingers. I'm sure you are correct in your assumptions regarding Rob. Rob is a great guy to deal with. I'm certain that my change of plans isn't why he hasn't replied to my e-mail. As a matter of fact, Rob, at one point, asked me if I really wanted to change the rifle from its current configuration. Sometimes I need to re-read things a little more before I post them.
