How much for a .308 AI sled?
Thanks, Paul
Too bad you can't load on top of your mags, but if it doesn't work for you, it doesn't work. Fortunately, it sounds like you have found a reasonable way to resolve the issue - Good Luck!
They are solid Delrin so not as light as a empty magazine but lighter than a 5 rd loaded one. Guessing I would say about 6-8 oz. I can weigh one tomorrow and let you know.Anyone know the weight on the .223 or .308 AI sleds?
Thanks
I know this is old, but some short cartridges with heavy bullets seated out will tip nose down and hit the barrel shank or other obstruction. With lighter bullets in longer cases, this isn't an issue.
. However, pretty much everyone will already have a mag in their magwell so it won't cost a thing simply to try it first. If it works, you're GTG. If not, you'll need a mag follower of some type.

Wow, didn't think they would weigh that much. I had talked to Bob yesterday but he was unsure of what they weighed but gave instruction on where to mill it out.Eric...a swing and a miss...the .308 BobSled weighs 1lb 4.3oz. If 8oz or so matters it could easily be milled out in the center from the base although if one has that capability they would likely have made a follower themselves.
+1 on Bob sled.
Great guy to deal with if you have any questions. Got one for my RRA LAR-8.
I am just curious if anyone has converting their AI magazine fed rifle to have a single shot adapter on top of the magazine. The main concern is using it for f class, I have a surgeon bottom metal in a mcmillian a5 and I would rather not switch the stock out. It's a Remington 700 short action. I would like to use something for the year before another build dedicated to f class.
