I have sent numerous emails via the Hodgdon web site contact. I have not received a single response. I have inquired about the availability or future availability of Varget, H4895, H4350, H4831sc. I contacted every wholesale distributor, and on line dealers listed on their web site. None has any powder. Please try contacting Hodgdon Company the (primary reloading powder distributor.) If they get enough inquiries maybe they will give us an answer. You might also contact Winchester, Reloader, Vitavuori, IMR and Alliant powder companies.

Same experience. I sent an inquiry more than 2 weeks ago...nothing. I check my junk mail constantly. I didn't miss it. Mine was just about load data.

How much would you like wager that if you sent an email from a Law Firm of their intent to sue over some personal injury claim arising from their powder deficiency, you would get a quick response! If that would be true, then you would find out just how impersonal their "customer representation" really is!

Yup. I've bought Varget and 4350 recently.

When I reached out to IMR regarding the recall on 4007 SSC, IMR@hodgdon.com is the e-mail I used. Don't know if they'll respond there.

I think the mistake here is believing that Hodgdon wouldnt love to sell every kernel of propellant they could get their hands on.

My feeling is that they are getting thousands of these emails daily. They would have to hire 10 people just to answer them.
Instead they are just doing what they do.
Continue to check their site daily as they sell direct now and have been putting powders up about every other day. Eventually they will have one you want.

Local farm supply had H4350 and 4831sc yesterday, 40.99/#. I didn't buy any(1 limit). Varget last week I did buy 1, didn't go back.

All of those powders become available at least once a week, usually more. They are scooped up in minutes. I seen one site had like 256 8# cans in stock so i got my card and logged in then they were gone

I've seen a good amount of H4895 online over the past 6 months... As Dusty said, they are usually gone in minutes ...

The ones who didn't go to JIT are now out of business. Excess inventory is expensive. Costs are reduced with JIT, and to be competitive a company has to use it.

Now JIT doesn't mean there isn't any inventory. There is strategic inventory that built up ahead of times of increased demand. In a normal market there is safety stock and inventory buffers in raw materials, at the constraint, and in shipping.

This is not a normal market, and even if companies had kept large inventories, with the associated full retail prices, we would still be out of everything......
