JB1000BR thought it would be a good Idea to bring his better half Lacy to her first 1000 Yard Br shoot this weekend.Not only did she win her relay.But she also won the shootoff.With get this.Group of the day at 5.3 inch's for ten shots.That little BR is smokin..She did something in her first shoot that took me 5 years to do.WIN A SHOOTOFF.Good on ya girl!!!!!Maybe you can teach Jason how to win one now...:kiss:

Yea, she whooped up on me,and everyone else there) good...but we all knew that was gonna happen right

I'm right proud of her...when she cam off the line after the shootoff she was shaking her head like something went wrong...her tracking came unglued a couple shots into the group and she had to squeeze the bag to get back to center for the last 7 shots...she thought she had really screwed things up...

When she got done shaking her head, i told her the group was about 4" wide by watching the vapor tails....and guess what, the group was 3.75" wide! 1 high shot cost her a fair amount.

Next closest group in the shoot-off was 8.1"

Not to mention she had the ONLY all black group in the shootoff...and is now the proud owner of the 4th smallest group of the year...

Yea, hope she can teach me how to win a shootoff now

Hey Boyd, thanks for the props! I attributed my successful debut to the hardwork and preparation Jas has put into his little "peashooter." So, it wasn't all me. I told everyone that I'm done, that I don't need to shoot anymore...I accomplished alot my first match eh?! But I guess I have to follow it up next Saturday to prove that it wasn't a fluke! Hopefully it wasn't! See you next week!

Jason called me on the phone after your match and was pretty jazzed about your shooting. Very impressive.

I have another friend, Ted Conway, who recently built up a 6BR for his significant other. She took it out to our club, and, shooting for the first time at 600 yards, she won the match.

So... does this suggest that women are inherently better shooters?

,When I was doing a lot of pistol shooting, and teaching some newcomers, I often found that the lady shooters progressed much more rapidly--they were able to comprehend and implement the basic principles of sight alignment and consistent trigger pull. After 5-6 trips to the range my,then) girl-friend could outshoot me with a .22 pistol. She could put 10 shots in one ragged hole at 10 yards, smaller than a dime. She was amused when some macho Glockster would show up, get into his "combat stance" and go "blam, blam, blam..." leaving a group the size of a pie plate at 10 yards. Then she would start on her target and go "pling, pling, pling" with each shot cutting into the same hole. She got great satisfaction out-shooting the guys.)
