Completed my wolf collection Saterday in Ontario Canada. Now i have Grey, Black, and now( close enough) white. lol

My son took this youngish female at 20 yards and closing last December.
So glad he kept his cool, as I wasn't with him at the time.

Yes they are. I have nailed Lots of coyotes, but wolves are so darn smart.

Nice. Still on my bucket list. Have hunted them 2x unsuccessfuly. Plan to go back but it's starting to get painful after the amount of money spent already.

I was shooting a customized Rem700 ,with a Bartlien 8t, chambered in 6.5 06 shooting 129gr sst. That rifle is just flat awsome. I named it sickem. Everything ihave shot with in has went down with the first shot drt.
I didn't use a outfitter , Have a good friend up there.

I don’t know if it’s still a problem, but wolves in Minnesota accounted for missing bird dogs for grouse hunters. Not sure that I would go into the woods unarmed where these apex predators existed.

It's very much a problem. They have devastated the deer population in much of the northern half of the state. MN has more wolves than any other state in the lower 48, all concentrated in the upper 1/2 of the state where habitat is suitable. Our DNR and liberal government have zero interest in managing the wolf population.

Our deer populations are at a low ebb right now, even as the wolf population is high.
To our provincial government's credit, it is very easy to get a wolf license, and many are being taken.
My son's wolf weighed 78lbs. I would estimate her at 1.5 years old.

Damn, thats a trophy I hope to get just one of someday! Idaho is the closest to me to hunt them, anyone know the success rate or harvest/tag sales numbers?
