Factory class varies a lot by club, but looking at their rules,
it looks like they, mifflin) got it right!,in my opinion). Many gun companies make a 6BR, and you can by it from Norma or Lapua as
loaded rounds....so it should be allowed as factory.I like the factory amunition rule so you don't force a newer person into re-loading if they don't want to, and it dis-allows wild Cat guns and amo that are obviously not factory.,The factory amo rule is a good indicator of if a gun is factory). I also like the idea of allowing after market triggers. It is a lot safer,
than forcing people to modify factory triggers, or adjusting them too light. If Safety really was the #1 concern, then, after market triggers should be allowed, as they are designed to be at the lighter pulls from the get go. It used to be that clubs outlawed such compaies as Cooper and Remington, custom shop?) and others because they said they were of limited production. Now that Savage makes a 6BR that argument has less validity,as if it was valid before). I think the outlaw of 6BR guns, or certain manufactures, was sour grapes from people who did not own one. Notice they allow a barrel change, infered) as long as it is a factory barrel. Sommerset Kentucky does not allow Coopers as factory...again, I think that is an out-dated perspective, now that The Newer Savage guns are here. Other clubs I have been to, are a bit more sensible in their factory class rules,eg. Cincinnatti)and base it on such things as factory amo, and original factory equipment, instead of the fact that the guns just happen to be built well or are more accurate than others. Why penalize a company for building good guns?????
