MN competitions?

Rock,
ERSC is accepting new membership applications right now. If you doddle getting the application in, you will have to wait another year. I will find you a sponsor if you don't know anyone. No waiting list, but spots fill fast and close by Jan. 15th or so. First year is $150 initiation fee and $150 dues. 365 day a year access to the club and the KD range to 400 yards. 600 yards is reserved for organized events per our conditional use permit with the city. www.ersportsman.com

We are planning on having Monday F-class and Tuesday OTC HP leagues. Might even have a Wednesday night "competitors" league. We will also have probably 3 or 4 registered/approved MRP/F-Class matches this summer.

What time of day would the monday F-class be at?

Try to show up at 5:30 if you want to meet some people and BS.

If you have an AR15, M1A, Garand or even a surplus military bolt or match rifle you should try going to the Tuesday night high-power shoot - it's best not to show up with something that has glass on it, though I've never seen anybody yelled at for it. It's pretty informal. They meet at 5:30-6PM same as the F-class. One week it's 200, the next it's 300 and the next it's 600 yards. Course of fire's different for all three distances and it's a really good group of guys & gals. - if you don't have any rifle that fits the bill and you still want to try it let me know and I'll bring extra ammo and you can use my rifle.

Well just to keep this going... I am about a week and a half away from my first, uh benchish rifle, built around a savage target action so single shot. But what about some practical shooting competitions around? I read very little about practical shooting around here, i may not have built the best rifle for it but thats more my type of shooting and would love to give it a try.
