Competition Hot Spots???

Here's one that is just around the corner from you on the southwest side of Ft. Wayne. http://www.hillsideshootingsports.com/ I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. They have some longer range benches there too as I recall if that's what you're wanting to do. WD
thanks-- i knew about that one but i hadnt thought about them having competitions--ill check into that-- There is a 1000 yd range 7 miles from my house but they have crappy benches- still i go there since its so close--i feel lucky to have it so close. no competitions there though.

Go to: www. shootingstl.com for the Bench Rest Rifle Club of St. Louis web page and see a world class facility with a whole lot of disciplines

I'm surprised no one said Phoenix, AZ. There are four outdoor rifle ranges all approximately 30-45 minutes away from anywhere in the valley. One of which is Ben Avery Shooting Facility. shooting takes place year round and there is a match at one of the facilities almost every weekend. Rifle Silhouette, Smallbore, Benchrest, High Power, Prone, and F-Class. Then throw in all of the other state ranges. 3 Points in Tucson, 7 Mile in Kingman, Sierra Vista, and the other 5.

There is a reason I have heard some refer to Phoenix as the shooting capital of the US.

Add in the multitude of pistol (gasp) shooting opportunities, and Phoenix is the top of the list.
