Come back ?

A total of 5 threads on the first page concerning the 22-250 remington cartridge. This is a good thing, that is all.
I've been a 22-250 fan since 1973 when my dad bought a Rem 700 Varmint Special to replace the semi custom Pre 64 Model 70 220 Swift some POS low life stole out of his truck. I was five back then and I'm still pissed off about it. Anyway, I think everyone should have at least one if not two maybe even three 22-250's in their quiver.

I have had a total of four since 1986. Sold the first one to buy my first AR which I still have. Bought another one from a buddy in the early 2000's that was identical to the first one I had then ended up using it for a donor to build my 6-284. Went nearly twenty years without one at all now I'm back to having two of them.

IMHO, you can never go wrong with a good 22-250 they just get it done rain or shine and have always been a solid performer.

I’m on your team. I have 3 lol. One for daytime hunting, one with a thermal for night time and a big heavy savage lrpv

Got one for my daughter few years back. Lots of love for it but i shoot smaller cartridges for varmint/predators. Less powder and less recoil. Even though 22-250 dont kick much, the smaller stuff barly kicks.

meh, I don't think its going to gain any more traction than it already has. It is a great cartridge, but these days I'd pick something else like a 22GT. Similar capacity and a better cartridge design IMO.
As much as I love my 22-250s and I'll always have a few, if I was building something new the 22 Dasher or GT would be a likely suspect for me to choose. Thinking about an SP here.
Matt

I have a pair, 22-250 and 22-250AI. I find them to be too much gun for most of my coyote hunting. I haven't taken them out in a few years but take them when I head for places with wide open spaces, just in case.

I "Down Load" mine w/ 4895 for, Sage Rats and PD's ( 50 gr. V-Maxes at, 3,550 fps ) to Avoid, Muzzle Rise and recoil "Jump" to, See, the Splodies, in a Braked, 8 Pound, "walking Varmint", Rifle. ( a Sub 1/2 MOA Load )
The Nice thing about, the .22-250 rem., IS that, It can Be loaded Up Hot or, Down to, .222 Velocities and STILL Be,.. very "accurate" ( just Don't, over size the Brass and keep, the shoulder,.. where it, belongs ).
I'm On my 3rd, .22-250 Rem 700 Bdl,.. "Sporter" !
After 350 - 400 yards, on Yotes,.. I'll take my 6 XC with, 95 gr. Bergers or, 103 gr. Eld-X's !
