Nosler 64grn bonded base in 22-250

Have any of you used the 64grn Nosler bonded base in a 1-14 twist 22-250? I'm curious about real world results concerning accuracy and terminal performance.

Matt

I would be surprised if that bullet would even be stable in a 14 twist because of it's weight.
Looks like you would have to give it a try...length might allow it to work with 14 twist..I don't know.

I have shotwinchester 64gr power points in my 14twist 22-250 and they have done ok. It might be wprth a try if te noslers are simalor to the power points.

In Nosler's load manual, the test rifle is a 1-14 barrel.
Well heck I am going to have to try that bullet myself...I'll bet it has a smaller bearing surface so it can be
used with 14 twist...With that weight it would seem it would buck the wind a bit more for long range rat shooting.:D

I will say that it is a pretty short, stubby bullet compared to other 60+ gr 224 bullets, so it may have some chance of stabilizing particularly at 22-250 velocities...

I tried them in my 22Nosler. Accuracy was subpar, as in 2-3 moa, so I didn't trust them for hunting feral pigs. Sierra gamekings were much better but you don't say what you are going to use them for.

Rocky Mountain Reloading had some of the 62gn Bonded at a cheap price. I picked up 2,000 to plink with in the AR's. might give them a whirl in the 9twist 223ai as well.
